Daniel Bahram
Daniel Bahram is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, and choir director of Kurdish heritage, born and raised in Sweden and Norway. His musical work reflects a life lived between cultures and a commitment to dialogue across traditions.
He is the founder and artistic director of Artemis, an all-female choir centered on folk traditions and a tribute to the female voice. With Artemis, he develops concert experiences that combine choral depth, rhythmic elements and traditional influences in a contemporary and near-spiritual setting.
Originally trained as a pianist, Daniel works primarily as a singer, choir conductor and also plays guitar, harp, accordion and frame drums. He has explored Amazonian folk music and Sámi joik as part of his ongoing interest in indigenous and oral traditions.
Through Artemis, he has collaborated with Gåte, Wardruna, Aurora, and Curawaka. His work is driven by a desire to create meaningful artistic encounters and to build bridges between cultures through music.
