Sarah Wreath

Sarah Wreath is a Berlin-based DJ, sound practitioner and sound engineer.

Production processes and the exploration of frequencies became the most important practices of her last years in Berlin. In order to expand her knowledge of physical mechanics and the technical aspects of music, she has dedicated herself full-time to sound research and music production since 2020. She explores the alchemical properties of music, conceiving sound as a substance and shaping its mind-expanding acoustic messages.

She also began to explore therapeutic sound practices, which once again underlines the healing purpose of her work and reveals one of the essential elements of her artistic statement and production.

This fundamental root accompanied Sarah on all the journeys with her analogue machines – companions in composition, “things with a voice”, each of which is free to express its natural characteristics and sonic essence and bring it into the story of each creation.

Performing live at Monument Festival 2024, Sarah’s live experimentation, involving effect techniques combined with the ethereal sounds of the gong, will change your perspective on this ancient and mystical instrument.
