Manuel Fogliata (ITA)

Manuel Fogliata, formerly known as Nuel, was a respected figure in underground electronic music worldwide. Renowned for his meticulous sonic approach, he crafted some of the most meditative and hypnotic records of the past decade, released on acclaimed labels like Semantica, Kontra-Musik, and Sublunar. His cult classic, "Trance Mutation," showcased his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist. Manuel gained significant recognition through collaborations with Donato Dozzy on the Aquaplano series and performances at prestigious venues like Berghain and Labyrinth. His latest album, "Fantasia," is a unique blend of danceable and experimental elements.

In April 2025, Manuel attended a residency at the Folkemusikksenteret in Prestfoss, Norway, where he adapted recordings of traditional Norwegian folk music to create a trance inducing live set. In loving memory of Manuel, who passed away in late May this year, a recording of his work will be presented at Monument.

This performance is a part of a cooperation project between Monument, the dance company Sprang, and the Folk Music Centre in Prestfoss. The project is supported by Buskerud Fylkeskommune.
